Interactive Public Studios
ALL hosted two Interactive Public Studios, to develop and research water in Ireland. These were held in NCAD Gallery, Dublin and Raggle Taggle Gallery, Limerick. The IPS was an open forum in which the public were invited to view, read, and contribute to ALL's research on water. These IPS were the starting point of the CATA project. As a result of the IPS's, ALL developed FIVE key Questions that were the central theme to the CATA project.
IPS Dublin
National College Of Art And Design Gallery
As part of the 'New Ecologies of Practice' programme at NCAD Gallery, Occupy Space invited the ALL Collective to present their ongoing research about Irish water to the public in the form of an Interactive Public Studio (IPS). ALL disseminated their research to date combined with feedback from the previous IPS in Limerick while continuing to use the gallery as an open studio space over a six day period, encouraging interaction and dialogue within the space to further their project regarding water in Ireland.

IPS Limerick
In response to the film 'Water Rising' a film by Muireann De Barra and Aishling Crudden, ALL initiated primary research into how Ireland utilises water as a finite resource. ALL presented ongoing research about Irish water to the public using the Raggle Taggle Studios Space, Limerick as an Interactive Public Studio. ALL disseminated current research while continuing working in the gallery-as-studio space over three days.
The public were encouraged to view, read, listen and give feedback to ALL on this preliminary research. They were also invited to submit their own research to this Interactive Public Studio, to create a dialogue and stimulate exchange about water and its use. It was an opportunity for members of the public to become involved in the development of a project by ALL in relation to the issues raised regarding Irish water.
One aim of the Value of Water was to establish Art Links Limerick’s practice as a collaborative and engaging process within the public sphere and to highlight the emerging prevalence of Socially engaged Art in Limerick City.

The 5 Questions
The public interacted with and responded to issues regarding water in Ireland that were raised by both The Value of Water IPS’s, resulting in a number of recurring dominant themes. This public interaction and ALL’s research combined to inform five issues that focus on water in Limerick City. These five issues form the basis of the CATA project.
Using the working methodology of placing questions within the public sphere, ALL translated these issues into 5 questions to be presented to the public for consideration.
